Chatham Islands Council gives notice that, in accordance with s55(2) of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Resource Management Document has been amended to incorporate the National Policy Statement for Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Industrial Process Heat 2023 (NPS-IPH 2023)
On 29 June 2023, changes to the NPS-IPH 2023(external link) were gazetted and came into force on 27 July 2023. They concern NPS-IPH 2023 Policies 3.2 and 3.3 which relate to cumulative effects and updating emissions plans.
The changes must be incorporated into relevant plans, without using the process set out in Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act (1991). The Resource Management Document has been amended on behalf of Chatham Islands Council.
