As a council we have obligations under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) to provide information that is requested by any member of the public.

The guiding principle of the law is that information shall be made available unless there is a good reason for withholding it.

LGOIMA responses

We regularly publish responses to Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA) requests that are considered to be of wider public interest or relate to a subject that has been widely requested.

  • To protect the privacy of individuals, we will not generally publish personal information about individuals, or information that identifies individual requesters.
  • We will publish the LGOIMA response along with a summary of the request.
