The draft Chatham Islands Council Stock Control and Keeping of Poultry, Bees and Pigs and Boundary Fencing Bylaw 2023 is now open for public consultation.
The proposed changes are detailed in the Statement of Proposal document but include some minor text changes for clarity and the addition of a clause stating that a person appointed by the Council as a "ranger" under the Impounding Act 1955 is authorised to administer the provisions of this Bylaw.
The policy is now open for public comment/submission with submissions closing at 4.30pm on Monday 16 September 2024.
