On 2 May 2024, the Chatham Islands Council reviewed its representation arrangements and resolved that the following proposal applies to the Council for the elections to be held on 11 October 2025.
Submissions on the proposal were invited. As no submissions were received regarding the proposal it becomes the basis of election for the Chatham Islands Council for the elections to be held on 11 October 2025.
The Council will comprise 8 members and the Mayor elected by the district.
No community boards will be elected.
