The Chatham Islands Council adopted the 2020/21 Annual Plan on Monday 22 June 2020.
Our focus for the next financial year is to investigate funding options to support prioritised capital investment, including for our key projects:
The Central Government appropriation for the 2020/21 financial year included an additional $570,000 to assist the Council with its ongoing financial viability, for which we are extremely grateful to receive.
We note the increased contribution is insufficient to cover all our capital and legislative obligations. Therefore, it is likely some projects will be delayed until further funding is available.
