Preliminary by-election results have been counted and as at 2pm Friday 18 September 2026 the results are as follows:

For the (1) position of Councillor:

DAYMOND, Jack 47
JOHANSON, Alfie 18
LANAUZE, Loretta 17
MURCHIE, Georgia 122
WAIRUA, Iwiroa (Wigs) 6

INFORMAL VOTES: 3

The voter return percentage was 47.54%, being 213 votes, excluding Special votes which are still to be counted. The final results are expected to be available on our Facebook page and website by Thursday 24 September 2026.
