We have once again engaged the services of Precision Helicopters NZ Limited (Neal and Tanya Andrews) for the gorse control project in 2024.
Precision Helicopters is currently in the process of confirming shipping, accommodation and other details and proposes to be on the Island in mid-March 2024, with an expected departure date around mid-April.
There are a few changes to this year’s programme. Specifically, Environment Canterbury has pre-purchased all chemicals, which will be provided free of charge (gorse control only).
Landowners will only pay for the helicopter which will be $1,200 plus GST per hectare. As with previous years, the Environment Canterbury / Chatham Islands Council budget will match landowner contributions “dollar for dollar” until our budget is fully allocated.
Landowners are strongly advised to book work early to avoid missing out.
Bookings are to be made online(external link) or by contacting Precision directly via email: sales@precisionhelicopters.nz.
For any work other than gorse spraying, Tanya will confirm any variation in charge-out rates when booking.
If you have any queries at all, please don’t hesitate to contact Jase Seymour on 027 298 6196, Rob Seymour on 027 305 0353 or Neal Andrews on 027 441 7443.
