On 29 May 2020 the Minister of Conservation approved the regional coastal provisions of the Chatham Islands Resource Management Document.
The Chatham Islands Council, in accordance with Clause 20 of Schedule 1 to the Resource Management Act 1991, resolved to make the Chatham Islands Resource Management Document operative from 22 December 2020.
Chatham Islands Resource Management Document
The Chatham Islands Resource Management Document provides a framework for the integrated management of natural and physical resources of the islands including the sea area out to the 12-mile territorial limit.
Inspection and availability of the Chatham Islands Resource Management Document
From 22 December 2020, a copy of the Chatham Islands Resource Management Document may be inspected on the Chatham Islands Council website.
If you do not have access to a personal computer, copies of the Plan may be accessed at public libraries and at the Chatham Islands Council at 13 Waitangi Tuku Road, Waitangi.
