Most urupā on the Chatham Islands are on family land and are not listed as public.
The public cemeteries on the Chatham Islands are:
- Owenga cemetery (Council)
- Kapeto (Council)
- Te One (Anglican)
- Hospital Road (Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri)
Chatham Islanders can access caskets through the Council – at cost plus 10%.
Sexton fees are also at cost plus 10%.
Burial plots are $644.
Cremation plots are $349.
There are no cremation facilities on the Chatham Islands.
